When did you begin designing jewelry and how did you decide to start Wolf Circus?
Wolf Circus started in 2010 while working on my Business degree at the University of Victoria. I realized that there was a gap in the market for modern affordable Jewelry and felt inspired to create a line that would bring the wearer confidence and help them feel empowered during their daily hustle.
What does being the owner and leader of a company run entirely by women mean to you? How do you aim to empower other women through Wolf Circus?
Our team currently consists of 10 lovely ladies. They do everything from Production to Marketing and Fulfilling your orders. Our all women's team was never an intentional decision however it has been an incredible experience to work with such a supportive and amazing team. For our customers we aim to empower women by creating jewelry which instills confidence. Internally, my goal is to empower my employees with competitive wages, a fun working environment and overall support for their personal goals and growth.
Advice for anyone looking to start a creative project or even their own company?
I believe it is really important to have patience and remember that building a brand doesn't mean it will blow-up overnight. Taking the time to build organic growth and really watch who your customer is along the way. Plenty of trial and error will create a more sustainable brand in the long run.

How has your affinity for nature influenced your design and/or approach to your business?
I am constantly doing things such as rock climbing, surfing, snowboarding. Creating jewelry which can be worn during these activities has always been an important part of our design process. Sustainability is also an important influence, our goal is to be using fully recycled metals by the end of this year and to become a Certified B Corporation. Lastly, on a hot summer day our team will occasionally kick off early for some river swims <3
