Bianca Valle is a NYC based writer and painter we've been ig crushing on for months now. We caught up with her to chat about personal style and self care.
How would you describe your personal style?
B: My style changes everyday. Some days I look like a skater boy, other days I look like I walked straight out of a Victorian movie. I am always getting inspired by what’s around me, what I see on the street. Why have one style? That’s boring!
How does living in NYC influence the way you dress?
B: Everyone is so different and goes to the beat of their own drum, and their style reflects that. Everyday I feel like I am walking past so many potential outfit combinations, whether I see a mailman or a cyclist. Keep your eyes open because you never know what is going to resonate with you.
You review beauty products on your blog, what are your top 3 favorite masks right now?
B: I adore the Glamglo Brightening mask, Merme’s Green Clay mask and Caudalie’s Glycolic Peel mask.
The Glamglo mask and Caudalie’s glycolic peel mask are great for evening my skin tone. I use the clays mask when my skin is feeling congested and plugged up, yuck!
You also paint, when did you start painting and what inspires you most?
B: I have always loved painting. Since I was young I had dreams of becoming the next Degas. Now, I paint to reward myself. When all is at equilibrium in my life, I take to my canvas to see what my mind is feeling. My emotions are what I paint. I paint what I am feeling.
What sort of self care practices do you try to integrate into your daily life? Exercise, eating right, or others?
B: I think life is all about self care. You can’t feel or do your best if you aren’t actively looking out for your health and well-being. I exercise almost everyday and try to drink at least two liters of water. I sleep as much as I can and make an effort to eat as clean as possible. This has taken maybe three years to ingrain in my daily routine, but now that I have made some steps, I feel so accomplished and full of life!
